I’d describe myself as “accidentally” sober
Here’s a little about my story
It wasn’t my initial goal to quit drinking…
but I’m so glad I did!

It Started as a 21-Day Challenge
I wasn’t exactly sure what I was signing up for when I started this journey in 2021. I liked the program’s mantra, “Progress over Perfection.” When I’m really honest with myself, I had doubts that I could go 21 days without a drink. I didn’t actually go the entire challenge alcohol-free, but I came pretty close. It was progress, not perfection, and I was OK with that because I LEARNED SO MUCH. It was a jump-start to my learning process about what alcohol actually does to your brain and body; the power behind creating emotion-based goals; and the awareness that people can actually be happy, joyful, absolutely 100% free from thoughts about drinking, and THRIVING in the sober lifestyle.

Leveraging 15 Years of Coaching Experience
I was already a professional, certified Coach with almost 15 years of coaching experience and numerous certifications when I started down the sobriety path. I regularly led Team Workshops and had coaching engagements with clients. What I learned in becoming sober myself — the science behind my drinking behavior — was what really changed the game for me. Everything I learned through the various sobriety challenges and experiments was completely in alignment with my positive psychology training as a coach. Once I changed my own beliefs about the role alcohol was playing in my life (I thought it helped me sleep, relieved my stress and anxiety, etc.), that’s when the possibilities started to open up. This is what led me to shift gears in my coaching practice to help clients with their sobriety journeys.

Strengths-Based Alcohol-Freedom Coaching
My passion is helping people align their thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, core values, and strengths to reach higher levels in all areas of their lives. When I removed alcohol from my life’s equation and started to build new, healthy alcohol-free habits, the possibilities seemed so much brighter! No longer was I living in a haze and just going through the motions. Redefining my relationship with alcohol — reaching ALCOHOL FREEDOM — was the first step to reaching new heights in my own life. I describe it as Alcohol Freedom Coaching because I truly feel FREE — no more obsessive thoughts about when I can have that first drink, counting how many I’ve had, or worrying about what I’d said or done the night before. It’s the difference between feeling liberated vs. fixated, and that feels absolutely incredible. I’d love to help you take that first step with me and see where the journey leads you.
