Get ready to learn something new, feel something new, and try something new in the next 31 days! Here are a few tips as we get started!
Take a “before” selfie. Yes, I’m serious. If you go the whole month alcohol-free, you will likely notice physical changes in your skin, your eyes and possibly even lose a couple pounds (Disclaimer: results may vary!).
Grab a Journal. Write down a few thoughts as we get started: (1) What would you like to get out of doing this “experiment” of going alcohol-free for 31 days? (2) How do you currently feel about your drinking habits today? Have you been thinking about cutting back? Trying to moderate? (3) What do you hope to accomplish during this challenge? Use your journal to keep track of your learning, progress and any challenges you encounter throughout the month.

For each day of the AF Challenge, a new topic will be published. Some days will be videos to watch, others will be articles to read. The content will be from me, and also from some well-known sobriety and “gray area drinking” experts such as Annie Grace, Jolene Park, William Porter, and Janey Lee Grace
At the bottom of each lesson, there will be a “homework” question; i.e., something to think about, a journal prompt, or you can add your thoughts as a comment for others to see and/or respond to.
Note: This is not a public site (i.e., you can’t find the link to it on my website), so if you add a comment, only others who are in the current challenge will be able to see it.
You can enhance your experience any time during the month in 2 ways:
Join The Sober Club, an on-line membership community hosted by Janey Lee Grace. She has compiled a wealth of additional resources, podcasts, articles, etc. and has an ongoing Facebook community for social support. Highly recommended, and you can’t beat the price at ~$23.00 for the month. Sign up directly on her site; I have no involvement in her registrations. Janey was the trainer for my Sober Coach certification and I’m a big supporter of her work and platform.
